Job Summary
This position specializes in the compliance, administration, and recordkeeping of ESOP/KSOP retirement plans. Primary responsibilities are to perform ESOP/401k compliance testing, oversee/complete recordkeeping tasks in our Relius software, and communicate with plan sponsors.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the overall client engagement from start to finish.
- Communicate with Trustees, Advisors, CPAs, and Attorneys as it pertains to the plan.
- Perform annual/quarterly valuations.
- Perform all ESOP compliance testing (409(p) anti-abuse, C-Corp 1/3 test, 410(b) coverage, (415(c), etc.).
- Perform all 401(k) testing for KSOP plans (ADP/ACP, top-heavy, 410(b), 414(s), 415(c), etc.).
- Calculate and perform stock recycle/segregation transactions.
- Calculate and perform reshuffling transactions.
- Complete all required government reporting (Form 5500, 8955-SSA, Form 5330, etc.) and provide plan audit support.
- Identify all participants eligible for diversification each year and prepare calculations/notices.
- Oversee the NUA (Net Unrealized Appreciation) tracking spreadsheets and coordinate 1099-R and 1099-B form creation at year-end.
- Review distributions and loans prior to assignment to distribution processor.
- Ensure that plan deadlines are being met while handling multiple simultaneous tasks.
- Document new processing instructions for support staff to facilitate new recurring procedures and processes.
Skills/Abilities
- 3 years of Relius Recordkeeping experience working with the trading interface and transaction ledgers
- Experience creating pivot tables and VLOOKUP formulas in Microsoft Excel required.
- Knowledge of legislative regulations of defined contribution plans including, but not limited to, 401(k) and ESOP/KSOPs.
- Organization and communication skills are a must.
- Experience in a Customer-facing environment required.
- Willingness to work on 401(k), 403(b), and 457(b) plans in addition to ESOP retirement plans is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to identify and problem solve complex situations.
- Must be a team player and be able to work independently.
- The ability to perform quality work in a fast-paced environment and meet supported deadlines.
- A clear understanding of technical issues, and the ability to clearly demonstrate both orally and in writing.
- Microsoft Office experience required (Excel, Outlook and Word).
- Experience in working with synthetic equity for ownership testing is a plus.
- Experience in working with leveraged ESOPs is a plus.
- Salesforce software experience is a plus.
- FT Williams 5500 software experience is a plus.

Salary: Up to $110,000 base salary, based on experience, plus eligibility to participate in company’s bonus program.
