Job Summary

This position specializes in the Recordkeeping and Relius Administration/Operational functions for all types of retirement plans and participant level accounting methodologies (Daily “Unitized” Accounting, Balance Forward “Accrual” Accounting and or ESOP “Share” Accounting practices).

Primary responsibilities are to analyze, process and post incoming plan/participant data/information, process/post transaction activities (i.e. Contributions, Distributions, Gain/Loss, Loans etc.) necessary to update plan/participant accounts on the Relius Administration Recordkeeping System while effectively implementing ATRS’s standard processing strategies, performing plan/trust reconciliations and executing and or processing transaction policies necessary to complete assigned duties/responsibilities and or tasks, as assigned, in a timely fashion.

 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the processing/reconciling/posting of all plan/participant financial and non-financial transaction activity on the Relius Administration System (as assigned).
  • Assist in the support functions of day-to-day processing activities; working with Ops processors, Administrative Support Specialists, Plan Administrators, CSM’s, RM’s and other internal personnel, ensuring Plan/Participant Records, on the Relius Administration System, are properly reflected, updated and maintained with the most current/accurate financial and non-financial activity records.
  • Communicate with internal processors, relationship managers, compliance managers, and phone representatives to gain complete understanding of challenges in order to develop effective solutions.
  • Assist compliance and relationship managers with annual stock recycle/segregation calculations and or other frequent financial transaction processing requirements.
  • Assist compliance and relationship managers with completion of all required government reporting and provide plan auditor support.
  • Assist compliance and relationship managers with identification of all participants eligible for diversification and help prepare calculations/notices.
  • Assist compliance and relationship managers with the NUA (Net Unrealized Appreciation) tracking spreadsheets and assist with 1099-R and 1099-B form creation at year-end.
  • Assist compliance and relationship managers with distribution and loan requests.
  • Periodically review all written procedures and processes for accuracy and efficiency.
  • Assist with creation of new processing instructions for support staff to facilitate new recurring procedures and processes.
  • Perform quality work in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines.

 

Skills/Abilities:

  • Must have a minimum of 3 – 5 years of Relius Recordkeeping experience working/processing/posting of plan/participant financial and non-financial transaction activity.
  • Proficient with trust/asset/plan/participant financial reconciliation activities.
  • Proficient with EXCEL and in creating pivot tables, performing VLOOKUP’s and other common place formulas used in Microsoft Excel.
  • Knowledge of legislative regulations of defined contribution plans including, but not limited to, 401(k) and ESOP/KSOPs is a plus.
  • Experience in working with ESOPs is a plus.
  • ASPPA/NIPA Defined Contribution designations a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and problem solve complex situations.
  • Must be a team player and be able to work independently.
  • The ability to perform quality work in a fast-paced environment and meet supported deadlines.
  • Microsoft Office experience required (Excel, Outlook and Word).
  • Salesforce software experience is a plus.
