Job Summary

The Institutional Relationship Manager cultivates and enhances long-term relationships with executive leadership teams for Institutional Partners, ensuring partner loyalty, retention, and satisfaction.

 

Responsibilities

  • Develop, enhance, and maintain relationships with Institutional Partner teams by providing proactive consultative service.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for Institutional Partner executive leadership teams.
  • Act as an advocate for the Institutional Partner, understanding partner needs and balancing those needs with corporate strategy.
  • Partner with internal leadership teams to determine and deliver optimal support model.
  • Initiate/Lead projects to enhance partner operational efficiencies.
  • Identify Institutional Partner corporate strategy and proactively propose products and services aligning with the strategy.
  • Oversee and coordinate annual non-discrimination testing and 5500 reporting.
  • Address and resolve escalated operational items in conjunction with Client Service Manager, Leadership, and Partner, as necessary.
  • Effectively manage Institutional Partner expectations in accordance with best practices.
  • Partner with finance to ensure proper revenue requirements are achieved.
  • Lead bi-weekly Institutional Partner strategic meetings.
  • Conduct in-person strategic meetings with Institutional Partner executive team.
  • Assist with new business opportunities and attend prospect meetings, as needed.
  • Adhere to team and individual service, retention, and revenue goals.
  • Other duties as identified and assigned by Management.
  • Travel required to satisfy the needs of Institutional Partner.

 

Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • ASPPA, QKA, QKC, QKS, CEBS, CRPS, or CRPC industry designations preferred
  • Minimum of 8 years applicable experience or comparable industry designation.
  • Proven experience in managing executive level relationships.
  • Knowledge of employee benefits, 401(k) plans and ERISA law.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple tasks.
  • Demonstrate creative problem-solving skills, confidence, and executive presence
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Ability to work and make decisions independently.

 

Salary: $85,000 – $100,000 base salary, based on experience, plus eligibility to participate in the company’s bonus program.
